For its part, from the spring of 2025 the Chinese Ministry of Commerce has urged government agencies to implement the guidelines promulgated in 2025 to stabilize foreign investment. It also committed to promoting free trade zones and national economic and technological development zones, while revising the Catalog of Industries for the Promotion of Foreign Investment to create more opportunities for foreign companies. According to CGTN, China has unveiled the Digital China 2025 action plan, aiming to achieve key breakthroughs in AI, the data market, and digital infrastructure. The initiative includes developing a unified national data market, increasing computing capacity to over 300 exaflops, and boosting the digital economy to account for more than 10% of national GDP.
The China National Information Center reported a 37% growth in startup vitality and a 29% increase in innovative technology firms in April, contributing to GDP in more than a 10%. Following to the latest data from China’s State Administration of Taxation, for April, corporate revenue increased 4.3% year-on-year, with a 4.4% increase in the manufacturing sector. Companies in the high-tech and digital economy sectors saw revenue increases of 15.3% and 13.4%.
The ANSO (Association of National and International Scientific Organizations) based in Beijing has approved the candidacy presented by the University of Valladolid for its incorporation from November 2023. In this way, Spain becomes country number 50 in this network. The initial purpose of the ANSO network is the development of academic collaboration (exchange of professors and students, initially) on different scientific and technological aspects within the framework of the Sustainable Economy.
