On May 12, the freight rail line bypass was inaugurated, avoiding the center of Valladolid. This line is part of the Atlantic Corridor within the European rail transport network. Valladolid is the dry port of Santander. In addition to this connection, this opening is an excellent opportunity to connect with the Mediterranean corridor via Madrid.
On the international level, there is currently only one line connecting Chongqing with Madrid. The logistics centers located along this line radiate activity not only to Chongqing itself, but also to surrounding countries. Some of the most important ones outside Europe are in Kazakhstan and Turkey. In the European Union, the centers in Sofia, Hamburg, and Rotterdam are notable. Another connection will soon be available via Iran.
